About the Artist and Alcohol Ink
This is my most favorite medium. When I have workshops or priviates it is the most thrilling time of my life to watch the clients laugh so hard and be so excited that they did a beautiful painting and didn't have to do anything the ink did it for them. If you need some relaxation and fun with a friend then alcohol ink is for you.

A variety of materials, many of which are often difficult to apply colorants to. While glossy paper provides better results, this ink can also be applied to acrylicI work with many mediums and Alcohol ink is my latest medium to work with. I find this medium very fascinating. Once I start a project it is very hard to put the ink down. I have been an artist since the age of 12 and Art is a very fascinating field with most mediums. Alcohol ink is one of the funnest to work with. You never know what you will get. Alcohol ink is specifically formulated to create interesting patterns and effects on a number of craft projects. The acid-free ink is permanent and dries fairly quickly. It is used to produce a shiny, metallic background or finish. Alcohol inks adhere easily to, plastic, metal, foil, glass, and many non-porous surfaces. Alcohol ink projects are used for creating interesting backgrounds. These include backgrounds for cards, scrapbooks, ornaments, altered books, and the like. Since the ink is translucent, different color layering effects can be achieved. The single effect technique is the easiest to use and provides numerous effects. I have achieved a way to paint different patterns such as florals, animals, landscapes and of course it does the best with abstracts.
I do Alcohol Ink presentations, Workshops, and Art parties. Getting a group of friends together and having a painting party with alcohol ink is one of the most fun and funniest parties. I furnish all the supplies and you will go home with 4 Ceramic Tiles .

Bonnie is EXTREMELY patient! I provided some inspiration pictures for what I wanted to paint and she picked one I though might be too hard, but she told me DON'T WORRY, YOU CAN DO THIS! We started with a basic lesson in drawing and how that would transfer onto the landscape of the acrylic painting. She taught me how to prepare the canvas BEFORE painting (didn't know that was a thing) and how to mix colors. She painted her own version of my inspiration while sitting beside me, but never hovered, which I really appreciated. She offered advice and brush techniques...but allowed me FULL license to experiment on my own and complimented things she liked. At one point I became very frustrated with myself and had a "moment of frustration"...and she calmed me down, showed me how easy it is to fix mistakes...and in the end I walked away with a painting I am very proud of and actually have hanging in my house. That has to be a good sign, right? I did two lessons with Bonnie. I'm happy with what I learned. She is a gem of a soul!

Bonnie is a great teacher! She demonstrates techniques and allows the student to use them while creating a painting. She takes the student's interests in mind, allowing each to work on subjects of their choice. I have a lot of fun learning watercolor!
